About us, about our campaign

We started out in 2017. In that year, Newcastle International Airport started using satellite technology to fly departing aircraft over a narrow route.   As a result, 2017 was the worst year for aircraft noise and and it's still going on (though not during the pandemic).

Newcastle Airport didn't tell anybody it was going to do this.  We want Newcastle Airport to change how it manages noise.

HOWEVER, we are acutely aware that we need to enlarge the campaign. We need to raise issues of the impact of aviation on the environment, global warming, pollution and health arising from Newcastle Airport's activities.

We welcome people from anywhere around Newcastle Airport who are concerned about any of these issues to join the campaign.
